Dear Growing to Give Community,

We are reaching out to ask for your help in ensuring that we are able to provide fresh, nutritious food to our neighbors in need this season. Now, more than ever, we need to work together to serve those who are experiencing food insecurity, knowing the numbers are sure to increase in the coming months.

Please come volunteer in a beautiful outdoor setting with good social distancing

This time of year we typically depend on school groups to complete a great deal of our field work. With all the school closures, we are experiencing a labor shortage – one that could continue for months. Gratefully, we are able to provide a volunteer opportunity in a beautiful setting where social distancing can be easily practiced. Come spend some time outside while helping your community – sign up to volunteer here.

Your health is of the utmost importance and we are closely monitoring the CDC’s recommendations to reduce risk to staff and volunteers. To see our plan for keeping volunteers safe, please click here.

We need your financial support

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the loss of so many volunteers, we also need your financial support. We may need to resort to hiring labor to guarantee our ability to serve our community – please consider donating today.

The food security of our community is at greater risk than ever right now, with job cuts overwhelming the food supply chain, and students at home needing breakfast and lunch. Our partner food pantries have been working tirelessly to create plans for remaining open and keeping everyone safe. We need to do our part to supply our community partners with the fresh, organic food that they will need now and into the coming months more than ever.

We are all in this together. In these challenging times, we must continue to join forces to support our neighbors in need.

With gratitude,
Theda, Patty, John, Sandi, and Rebecca
