Farm Report 11/8/23 – And now it’s November!
And now it’s November! Brews for a Cause | November 15 from 4-9pm Flight Deck Brewing in Brunswick will donate 20% of all beer and pizza sales to Growing to Give. Moving into the month of November, we have less daylight, cooler temperatures, and a heavy sadness about what just occurred here in our lovely state of Maine. Farm Report 10/24/23 - October Skies The farm had some really dramatic skies this week and, on the sunnier days, the Fall flower colors really popped. We had more help from the Waldorf 4th graders and from our group of young adults from Seguinland Institute. Farm Report 10/17/23 - Is it really mid-October? Leaves are turning, temperatures are falling, but we still have not had a killing frost. Vegetables, herbs, and flowers, that we would have had to give up on last year at this time, are still being harvested and sent out to our recipients, I am not complaining! Farm Report 10/12/23 - Fooled again! I should just stop trying to figure out the weather report. I called off all the volunteers on Saturday because of my weather app! Rain starting at 7am it was telling me. Well, yes it started at 7 and ended at 7:15! Ugh. Saturday is always a day we accomplish a lot at the farm, so I was disappointed... Click to read more.
